The Pot calling the Kettle 'Black'
Profile in Cowardice
"Eric Holder, the nation's first black attorney general, said Wednesday the United States was "a nation of cowards" on matters of race, with most Americans avoiding candid discussions of racial issues. In a speech to Justice Department employees marking Black History Month, Holder said the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives. "Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and I believe continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards," Holder said. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/02/18/holder-calls-nation-cowards-race-matters/ He calls his fellow countrymen "cowards" because we don't talk about race enough (which is untrue). His actions in helping a crooked Swiss get a pardon - the man who needed a pardon for selling arms to the Iranian mullahs -the mullahs who tortured our brave State and Defense Department personnel for more than a year in 1979-1980 are far more cowardly. Today he sits comfortably in his office and accuses the previous administration for "torturing" captured prisoners of war, yet, works hard to pardon a man who gave support to those who tortured Americans. And yes, it is cowardly of him to use his office platform, knowing that he has essentially zero accountability for the next 4 years, to condemn a nation who's racial problems are far less than any other heterogeneous society in the world and whose people –black AND white- have paid a far steeper price than any nation ever to bring equality and freedom to all its people. Yes, he is a coward and a scumbag - for his WORDS AND his ACTIONS.
